Bambu Menu Redesign & Brand System Refresh

A complete overhaul of Bambu’s in-store menu and brand system to improve usability, visual hierarchy, and customer engagement—while keeping the brand’s core identity intact.

Role

Lead Designer

  • Overuse of colors with no visual consistency or hierarchy

  • Drink items placed randomly, with no clear categorization

  • Lack of branding elements such as icons, patterns, and tone of voice

  • Menu sizing was unclear—customers didn’t understand upgrade options

  • Visual clutter made the menu feel overwhelming rather than inviting

Problems

  • Developed a full set of branding guidelines including fonts, colors, patterns, icons, and tone

  • Retained core brand colors while adding complementary hues for visual clarity

  • Created clear drink categories using outlined boxes to organize content and aid navigation

  • Reduced font weights and color saturation to create hierarchy and breathing room

  • Introduced fun, friendly taglines and custom graphic elements to enhance brand voice

  • Re-shot product photography to highlight drinks from the top-down, making them more recognizable and appealing

The new menu led to a 40% increase in large-size drink sales—customers could now clearly see size options, and the large was positioned as a confident first choice rather than an afterthought. The improved hierarchy and visual flow also made the ordering experience faster and easier, reducing friction at the point of sale and aligning the design with Bambu’s fun, fresh, and health-conscious brand.
